Support meetings are held monthly in Portland and Orono. In order to facilitate a safe and confidential environment, these meetings are limited to individuals who identify as trans-, genderqueer, otherwise gender-variant, or who are questioning their gender identity.
Portland: 1st Wednesday of every month, 7:00-8:30pm (next meeting: Dec. 1, 2010)
Orono: 4rd Monday of every month, 6:00-7:30pm (next meeting: Nov. 29, 2010 – meeting moved to 5th Mon. this month only)
Trans/allies support meeting: Portland (we meet on the USM campus), 3rd Wednesday of the month, 7:00-8:30pm
This meeting is for transgender/genderqueer/questioning individuals as well as their family members, partners, and allies. Trans people do not NEED to bring an ally–it’s still fine to come on your own! If you are an ally, who would like to attend by yourself (i.e,. without your trans family member/partner/friend), please RSVP before attending your first meeting.
