I didn’t realize that children try to protect their parents by not letting on how stressed or upset they are
What was the most important takeaway for you?
Keep interrelations human. Explain what I’m doing, reiterate that the patient is safe, remind them that they are in control (as much as we can, in healthcare)
What is one thing you would do differently with your patients in the future?
Make better eye contact, wait longer to apply restraints
